Biography of Alexander Vladimirovich Krushkoff
Alexander was born in 1955 in Russian Urals to an artistic family and began to study art from the age of eight. For seven years he attended local Art school where his works were often exhibited.
Alexander is well travelled, he lived in the extreme conditions of northern Russia, Muslim Central Asia, Tibet and went to Sahara for an artistic inspiration.
Artist’s philosophical approach to life led him to surrealism and expressionism in his work.
Alexander has a revolutionary mind and many of his paintings clearly reflect that.
In the 70s he was confined for spreading the ‘decay of West’ to the young minds of his fellow-students. As a punishment, his artistic abilities were used for creating 'art works' for communistic political propaganda in the form of street posters and sculptures of political leaders.
In the 80s and 90s Alexander was involved with theatrical stage and costume design.
His works are clearly different and catch an eye with colours and engage mind with a limitless imagination.
Many of Alexander’s works were sold to art collectors in Russia, Uzbekistan, Lithuania, Georgia, USA, France and England.
